Constructed gilded and silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, join together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegmsarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a frontal depiction of a battleship cutting through waves, the reverse with a block hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, designer marked ADOLF BOCK and maker marked SCHWERIN, BERLIN, measuring 43. 90 mm (w) x 56.
