Description

Yucca necopina was originally thought to be a natural hybrid of Yucca arkansana and Yucca pallida until DNA proved otherwise

so in 2006 we officially christened it Salvia greggii 'Texas Wedding'

(aka: originally introduced as Dianthus 'Red Devil') This 2007 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction was discovered here as a flower mutation on our patch of Dianthus 'Feuerhexe' (Firewitch)

and even smells like a salvia

after the Colombian national bird

Trillium freatum Carolina Gold Geranium Yucca necopina was originally thoughtTrillium x freatum 'Carolina Gold' is a Plant Delights JLBG introduction of our nursery propagated hybrids between a gold flowered form of Trillium cuneatum and a red flowered form of Trillium freemanii. The result is a strain of nicely mottled foliage trillium with bright yellow flowers, whose petals are narrower than Trillium cuneatum, but otherwise similar. For us, peak flowering is mid late March. This is a very limited offering.
