It combines the robust features and wide peristome of maxima from Gunung Lumut with the color from ramispina

the striped Bareo form of veitchii and the Giant form of spectabilis

Many plants have striped peristomes while others a golden one

We grew these plants from seed produced by a grower in Hawaii

We find it reminiscent of Nepenthes villosa but much easier (a poor man’s villosa if you will)

This spectacular variety of ventricosa exhibits porcelain white pitcher bodies with a flared red peristome. It seems like there's a number of locations in the Phillipines where this form occurs and there's been a number of forms and clones circulating throughout Europe and the USA for decades. Most clones tend to have a very woody texture. This pitcher plant is considered a Highland Tropical plant. Please see our
