A wartime postcard depicting Kapitnleutnant Heinrich Bleichrodt, a U Boat ace who sunk 25 Allied ships between October 1939 and December 1943 for a total of 152,320 gross register tons, with Bleichrodt depicted in uniform and wearing the Knights Cross with Oak Leaves, the reverse unused and with a Hoffmann studio mark, measuring 90 mm (w) x 140 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
