Fritz served in the Wehrmacht from December 1941 and fought on the Eastern Front as a Gefreiter in a Grenadier Regiment. He was killed at the age of 20 on 28 September 1944. This card is historically very interesting because it explicitly states that he was awarded two combat decorations: the Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber (Infantry Assault Badge in Silver) and
